Introducing Park & West Print Shop!

Park & West Home is growing…by way of a digital print shop on Etsy!

I have long been passionate about art (I minored in Art History in college!) and sourcing art for clients is one of my favorite parts of the design process. Art is an essential component in making spaces feel personal and complete, but I often find people are intimidated by choosing art and don’t have room in their budget for pricey original artwork. Park & West Print Shop can help with both those challenges!

The Print Shop is a collection of museum-quality art curated with an interior designer’s eye. I’ve searched high and low for serene landscapes, compelling portraits, energetic seascapes, and even a quirky vintage pet portrait or two! All prints are offered in digital form, meaning you purchase & download the image files (for under $10!) from Etsy and have them printed yourself.

Digital printable art has been around as a concept for a while, but as I’ve started telling people about this new venture, it seems like many people are still unfamiliar with it. I assure you it’s as easy as it is affordable…and it is very affordable! There’s three steps:

Step One:

Peruse the collection on Etsy and purchase the print that speaks to you! Once you’ve completed payment on Etsy, your file downloads will be instantly available and you download them to your computer. (This is a process best done on a desktop or laptop computer.)

Step Two:

Decide what size and where you would like to have your artwork printed out. You can use an online printing service (Snapfish, Shutterfly, Mpix), a local photo lab, or even someplace like Staples. Drugstore/discount store kiosks aren’t recommended because of their print quality and paper limitations, however.

Step Three:

Frame your new artwork! I’ve sized everything to fit ready-made frames available at places like Michael’s, Target, Pottery Barn, or Ikea. Thrift stores are a great place to pick up frames, just look past what’s currently in them and have a measuring tape handy to check sizes!

So easy, right?! Digital printable art is a great way to get high-quality art at really accessible prices. I feel the same way about art as I do about design—everyone deserves to have beautiful surroundings and with a little creativity, it is totally possible! I hope you’ll check out the Print Shop and find just the right piece for your space. And of course, if you need help, just drop me a line!
